This degree project for Universidad Iberoamericana consists in solving a real problem presented by a client (the department store Liverpool) through a design strategy.
Problem detected by the client : Experiencia Gourmet, the gourmet section of Liverpool which is meant to be a gourmet indoor food market in which people can enjoy a good meal in a nice and unique place, has been misunderstood by the visitors as a food court. This perception isn't what Liverpool is looking for, and a change of perspective should be addressed.
Established objectives : Enrich the experience of those who visit Experiencia Gourmet, inside and outside the facilities, creating brand loyalty while making the concept Liverpool seeks to convey correctly understood.
The strategy to tackle the problem was based on three key points:

1 A web page, an app, and social network profiles were designed with the objective of having presence outside the facilities, generate user insights, and create loyalty towards the brand. These digital platforms include several characteristics:
-A digital menu from which the user can browse the dishes in every food stall in Experiencia Gourmet, and order food through mobile devices.
-The user can create and customize their own dishes based on Experiencia Gourmet's culinary offer.
-All these platforms include promotions and events from the different food stalls.
-Through a profile created by the users, they get to know other users of the Experiencia Gourmet digital platforms, as well as the dishes they like or have designed. Thus creating a community.

2 New furniture was designed, based on the existing one's design line, not to replace it, but to add new elements that may change the perception that the user has about Experiencia Gourmet, ensuring that it is not seen as a food court. This is achieved by exposing the products in a different way, seeking to reflect abundance and freshness, while reinforcing the idea of a custom service.

3 For a correct implementation of this strategy, the staff must be trained to assist the user with these new tools; at the same time, they must treat their customers in accordance with the real concept of the Experiencia Gourmet.

Additionally, a physical menu was designed with the dishes offered in every food stall, as well from a children's menu section, for the visitors that is not proficient with digital tools or simply prefers physical objects. Also, to reinforce Experiencia Gourmet's presence within the department store, the menu and promotions are meant to be incorporated as a search option within the store directories.
