Coordinated and evaluated by Flemming Tvede Hansen, Ole Jensen and Anne Tøpoj.

Based on the Japanese tradition of drinking sake, a ceramic drink set was designed.

This project seeks, through the object, to incite the user on enjoying and sharing time with other people while making a ritual out of a universal day-to-day thing.

In the original concept, the glasses and the jug, while not in use, were placed in a container with hot or cold water, depending on the temperature in which the drink was meant to be kept. Later, this container was replaced by a wooden tray and covers for the glasses, thinking of making it more practical, and also better for hot drinks.

To manufacture the prototype of the original concept, a two-piece master for the jug and two other one-piece masters were made with CNC, one for the container and the other for the glass. Using these masters, plaster molds were made to later cast the porcelain that would finally be baked unglazed.
