Luchatitlan

Luchatitlan is a grand multimedia production made in collaboration with Lucha Libre AAA and Ventura Entertainment. It is a live show that brings lucha libre to the forefront as the main spectacle.

This is a participatory, fun, authentic, and contemporary experience inspired by Mexican popular culture, where spectators enter a world where rules bend, opposites meet, and the boundaries between fiction and reality disappear.

Every night in this arena, the grand final of the Monarca del Ring championship takes place: the wrestlers put their masks, hair, and legacy on the line, and the audience plays a starring role, capable of enthroning or destroying these heroes and villains with their applause and boos.

A show that makes the audience part of the experience. A TV crew simulates a live broadcast, breaking the fourth wall between the attendees and the wrestlers. The recording of the live show serves as a bridge between the spectator and the wrestling, creating a grand collective experience where everyone merges into a single ritual.

In this project, as part of Cocolab's Set Design team, I participated in the design of the scenography, props and interior design of the venue for the show, incorporating technical elements that included lighting, audio, screens and projection .

For the development of Luchatitlán, it was especially relevant to work closely with the art director to design a world attached to the concept established in the script for the show.
